Permanent Appointment

This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist training officer to join our Service Delivery Division. This role contributes to frontline customer centric service and information that is outward-facing, streamlined and responsive to meet the needs of customers within the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS).

We value diversity and appreciate every individual’s perspective, bringing together a diverse and inclusive workforce to drive innovation and success in protecting workers’ health and safety, protecting and educating for consumer rights, or promoting a fair trade environment for WA and future generations.

The role

Our Customer Information Directorate provides frontline customer centric service and information. The role ensures the Department is customer focused and engages effectively with the community, business and stakeholders. It assists with delivering an excellent customer service experience through customised training, embedment and other customer service developmental resources for front line customer service officers and leaders.

A typical day may include supporting frontline leaders in providing training, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement, or developing customised training and educational resources. Please refer to the Job Description Form (JDF) attached for further information regarding the position, including leadership capabilities and pre-employment checks which will be assessed as part of the selection process.

Shortlisted applicants will have their skills and experience assessed against the remaining role specific requirements and leadership behaviours in further stages of the recruitment process. The complete list of role specific requirements and leadership behaviours can be found in the attached Job Description Form.
