Us

Born out of a passion for fairness and unforgettable experiences, Tixel is changing the game. We’re a rapidly growing ticket marketplace transforming live entertainment and making a real impact by giving fans fearless flexibility to discover and access events they love. Our mission? To become the world’s most trusted live event marketplace.

You

Not only are you all about the the live vibes, just like the rest of us here, but you’re also a commercially sharp, curious and hands‑on finance pro who thrives where numbers meet strategy. You know how to use data to connect the dots between financial insight, business performance and smart decision‑making. You’re as comfortable in the weeds of financial models as you are shaping big‑picture strategy.

You see finance as a growth engine, not just a reporting function. You’re proactive, collaborative and thrive in fast‑paced, scaling environments. You love problem‑solving, working cross‑functionally and helping teams make informed calls that drive impact.

Role Mission

As Tixel scales across Australia, the UK, Europe and the US, you’ll help build a world‑class finance function that powers our next phase of growth. You’ll be the bridge between numbers and strategy, turning financial insights into business outcomes and helping shape how we grow sustainably.

You’ll partner closely with leaders across Product, Marketing, Customer Experience and Commercial Ops to drive performance, support strategic bets and embed financial thinking in everything we do. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll help evolve our finance systems, processes and models to keep pace with our expanding marketplace.

With a lean and agile finance team in place, this is a high‑impact, high‑autonomy role for someone who wants to help shape the financial backbone of a scaling tech company.

The Gig

- Finance Business Partnering: Partner with functional leaders as a trusted advisor, translating financial performance into actionable insights. You’ll play a key role in shaping strategic and operational decisions by embedding financial thinking into day‑to‑day discussions and long‑term planning.

- Commercial and Strategic Analysis: Deep‑dive into growth initiatives, pricing, margins and new market opportunities. Assist in developing business cases for new product or partnerships, and help resource the bets that move the needle.

- Financial Planning & Analysis: Support an effective budgeting and forecasting process that aligns with company goals. Maintain a proactive outlook on cash flow, profitability and capital needs, while building and managing rolling financial models and scenario plans.

- Scale the Finance Engine: Play an integral role in scaling Tixel’s financial systems and processes. Help evolve and optimise how our Finance function operate so the team can move fast.

What You Bring

- Proven experience in a commercial / strategic finance, FP&A and/or business partnering role

- Solid grasp of marketplace or consumer tech business models

- Expertise in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting

- CPA or CA qualified (or equivalent)

- Experience partnering cross‑functionally within high‑growth or fast‑paced companies

- Problem solver - being able to operate with ambiguity, build from zero to one and synthesise complex financial information into actionable strategic insights

- A proactive and collaborative communicator who makes finance make sense - connecting the dots for non‑finance teams and steering decisions with clarity and context.

- Exposure to BI tools or FP&A software a plus

Why you'll love it here

- You’ll be a part of a fast‑paced, high‑energy team aligned with the love of music and live events.

- Real ownership: your work will directly shape the future of Tixel’s product and growth

- We work hard, but we have fun. Otherwise, what’s the point?

- We’re committed to building a team that embraces diverse perspectives and creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.

- We’re proud of the fact we are family‑friendly and have a flexible work environment with our HQ based in Melbourne, Australia and growing teams in the UK and the US

- You’ll get an extra personal day off every month, affectionately known as TDOs (Tixel Day Off)

- We offer a monthly ticket allowance because live gigs are awesome and we want you testing the product as much as possible

- We will invest in your development with access to a ‘level‑up’ allowance and make it our priority to help you achieve your career objectives.

Give it a shot

- Feeling like you don't tick every box? Stop right there You're probably selling yourself short. We're on the hunt for hidden gems, so throw your hat in the ring and let's see what you've got.

- Here at Tixel, we believe that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) is key to achieving our mission, which means we are dedicated to making our hiring fair, unbiased and inclusive. So, if you're from a background that's not seen enough in our industry – whether you're female, gender diverse, neurodiverse, a person of colour, part of the LGBTQIA+ family, or any underrepresented star – we're especially keen to hear from you.
