Partner with stakeholders to optimize performance of Traded businesses through commercial analysis, strategic planning, and financial discipline. Drive commercial outcomes, support decision-making, and embed finance in operations to influence pricing, profitability, and growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate to drive business improvement and performance of the newly acquired business.
- Review project business case, historical performance, and due diligence documents with a commercial lens. Reforecast acquisition case with updated assumptions and risks/opportunities.
- Understand Traded Bulk Shipping’s pricing strategy and apply learnings to projects.
- Analyse market trends, competitive positioning, customer/product profitability, pricing, costing, and margin sustainability. Identify and propose improvement opportunities for the business.
- Assess pipeline opportunities and partner on strategic initiatives (e.g., new products, market entry, capex).
- Participate in quarterly commercial performance reviews.
- Drive delivery of budgeted EBITDA and TWC targets through revenue, margin, and cost base optimization.
- Support strategic growth initiatives and decision-making with commercial leaders.
- Prepare presentations for senior executive updates. Prepare for BAU (e.g. source data for reporting, establish Month end process, design and build MBR). Lead MBR reporting and prepare commentaries.
- Understand current S&OP process and its finance integration. Establish reporting and process for R3 forecast and full year outlook.

Who are we looking for?

- Bachelor’s degree with a major in commerce, accounting, finance or business administration. CA or CPA professional qualification.
- 5+ years in finance roles including FP&A and having demonstrated senior experience in a commercial finance role with exposure to the commercial environment and working with leadership teams.
- Industry experience or exposure to manufacturing / supply chain activities desirable.
- Proven track record partnering with senior executives and management teams, ability to build strong relationships and collaborate to improve business performance.
- High degree of commercial acumen, strategic and critical thinking.
- Confidence to challenge in the right way to influence better outcomes.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to clearly communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to manage to tight deadlines, strong attention to detail.
- Experience in fast paced environment and flexibility to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
