Overview

Jumpstart your career Freighter Group is seeking a Management Accountant to join our team in Brooklyn, Victoria, focusing on retail with experience in manufacturing considered an asset.

Freighter Group aims to be the most successful supplier of equipment, solutions, parts, and services to the road transport industry throughout Australasia. This role supports the Finance team with timely and accurate information to help optimise manufacturing and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyse monthly financial and non‑financial reports, monitor business unit performance against budgets and forecasts, assist with daily/weekly reporting, and help with annual budget preparation.

- Operational Support: Manage and maintain financial data within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud; work with the CFO to develop measurements and improvements based on system reports. Partner with operational stakeholders, particularly in manufacturing, to provide insights and analysis influencing business decisions. Conduct monthly account reconciliations and participate in bi‑annual stocktakes.

Required Skills and Experience

- Education: Tertiary qualification in a finance discipline; working towards or holding a CA/CPA.

- Experience: At least four years in a similar role, ideally with exposure to retail and manufacturing. Advanced computer skills with SAP, JDE, and Microsoft Excel; ability to analyse and manipulate data. Ideally hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

- Competencies: Strong problem‑solving skills, business acumen, and the ability to build constructive relationships across all levels of the organisation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ownership mindset and drive for results.
