Job Description
Supervising a HR team, this role will have both a 'hands‑on' and strategic element. Key responsibilities will include:
- Oversee daily HR operations, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance standards.
- Manage complex employee relations and industrial relations matters effectively.
- Provide guidance and support to leaders on HR policies and workforce planning.
- Work collaboratively with union representatives to foster productive relationships.
- Develop and implement HR initiatives that support business objectives.
- Lead investigations and resolve workplace disputes in a fair and timely manner.
- Support operational leaders with performance management and people strategy.
The Successful Applicant
Our client is seeking a HR Manager with the confidence to operate autonomously and build relationships across an operational workforce. Key experience required includes:
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex ER and IR issues effectively.
- Experience working within a unionised workforce environment.
- In‑depth knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- A proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making.
- Leadership and coaching experience.
