John Fawkner Private Hospitalare currently seeking professional and customer focused Supply Officers to join their busy team. We offer a supportive atmosphere and an extensive education program, so you get to grow in your role and achieve work-life balance.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Supply Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with the supply management of the hospital, focusing in operating theatres with involvement in wards and other areas within the hospital.

The position also includes handling supply & imprest queries as well as general duties in our logistics area. The position is hands on and requires a high level of physical work.

John Fawkner Private Hospital is located in the northwest of Melbourne. With 186 registered beds, a 12 cubicle Emergency Department, 5 operating theatres, 12 bed critical care complex and busy Day Procedure Unit, we provide a wide range of services to its community. We specialise in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT, gynaecology. neurosurgery, ophthalmic, and vascular surgery.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer/patient service by replenishing hospital imprest areas

- Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members and liaising with other staff as required to create an experience that makes a difference.

- Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope’s policies and processes, code of conduct.

- Maintain standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.

- Supports Healthscope’s safety and quality improvement and achievement of accreditation by actively participating in department meetings, audits and quality activities.

- Ensure compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.

- Experience with a computerised purchasing system (i.e. Technology One)

- Ability to work within constraints of a set financial budget

- Good literacy and numeracy skills

- Proven time management and problem solving ability

- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment

- Previous experience in a similar role (desired) Warehousing, Inventory background will be considered

- Medical product knowledge (desired)
