Someone who puts excellence, compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as the **Group Manager Procurement** you will be entrusted with defining and executing the whole-of-organisation procurement strategy and enhancing our Source to Contract capability. You will not just manage, but lead and inspire a team of 10 procurement professionals (with 5 direct reports) to deliver on a critical mission: develop, implement, and continually review a strategic group-wide approach that optimises value for money, mitigates risk, and champions ethical sourcing. Your success will directly translate into the Group’s ability to deliver annual savings and provide better, fairer care to the community.This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in our Group Head Offices in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane on a hybrid working arrangement. You will be leading a small team dispersed across our three states.**Key responsibilities of the role:*** **Pioneer Strategic Procurement** **-** Lead the charge in designing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously evolving a group-wide approach to procurement. You will establish the strategic direction for how the entire organisation sources and contracts, ensuring consistency, transparency, and compliance.* **Drive Financial Impact and Value Creation -** Develop and meticulously manage the annual procurement plan with explicit and agreed upon annual savings goals. This target must be strategically aligned with overall business goals to deliver tangible financial benefits to the Group.* **Architect the Group Procurement Strategy -** Develop and implement a Group-wide procurement strategy that is designed not only to optimise value for money and mitigate risk, but also to champion sustainable, ethical, and socially responsible sourcing across the organisation.* **Champion Strategic Leadership -** Provide authoritative strategic leadership and direction for St Vincent’s Group Procurement function, ensuring that every function and decision is perfectly aligned with the ambitious St Vincent’s Strategy 2030 and our core values of compassion, integrity, justice, and excellence.* **Modernise Digital Capabilities -** Take ownership of and commit to the continual improvement and management of the Group’s core digital platforms, including the Procurement Business Intelligence Solution (utilising Azure Cloud and MS Power BI) and the Digital Contract Management platform, Ready Contracts.* **Ensure Ethical and Social Compliance -** Oversee the preparation and contribution of high-quality, essential reports for Modern Slavery and the Reconciliation Action Planning (RAP) initiatives. This responsibility underscores the commitment to ethical sourcing and social accountability.* **Lead Collaborative Governance -** Chair the Group Procurement Working Group to foster a highly collaborative governance environment.
