Overview

6-month, part-time Customer Service Officer opportunity with a large council in the northern suburbs, across 3 locations. Rate: $37.35 per hour. ASAP start. You will work as part of a team to undertake frontline call centre and cashiering/administrative tasks to deliver effective and quality customer service across 3 locations. Travel between sites is required after training: Broadmeadows, Craigieburn, Mickleham North, and Sunbury. The role will primarily involve phone and email support, with occasional coverage of front counters. Applicants must be flexible to start between 9 and 11 AM and to work a 5-hour shift.

Responsibilities

- Providing accurate and timely information to members of the public via telephone and email

- Supporting and maintaining a positive image of the Council to members of the public through professional standards of personal presentation and courteous and efficient service

- Delivering service to a high-volume call centre while contributing to the Key Performance Indicators required

Qualifications

- Experience in both face-to-face and high-volume telephone customer services

- Demonstrated experience within a call centre environment including experience in using a customer management or request tracking application

- Experience working in an administrative environment with a strong customer and team focus

- Great communication skills, written and verbal

- Language other than English will be an advantage

- Positive and proactive attitude towards work
