About the Role

As an Aviation Systems Architect supporting the integration and development of cutting‑edge aviation systems within Defence’s digital and operational frameworks. This role is central to enhancing communications, command and control, computing, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide expert advice on Army Aviation C4ISR system design, implementation, and information exchange standards.

- Support system design, testing (verification and validation), certification, and compliance with military and civilian standards.

- Deliver monthly progress reports and updates.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop plans, identify risks, and resolve issues.

- Communicate effectively with Defence personnel and maintain a strong support network across Defence and industry.

- Apply industry best practices and comply with relevant standards and regulations.

Required Skills & Experience

- Demonstrated experience in Defence systems integration, particularly in aviation and C4ISR domains.

- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

- Proven ability to manage tasks independently and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Deliverables & Performance Expectations

- Demonstrate ‘Best for Defence’ behaviours with a collaborative, integrated team approach.

- Build strong working relationships with Commonwealth and third‑party partners.

- Deliver services on schedule and respond promptly to Commonwealth queries.

- Manage probity, conflicts of interest, and security matters in line with contractual requirements.
