Overview
We are seeking a Graduate Project Accountant to join our Energy & Utilities – Power Projects team, based in Milton, Brisbane. Reporting to the Senior Project Accountant, this full-time role is suited to finance professionals with 2–3 years’ experience looking to step into a role with greater responsibility and exposure to large-scale projects.
You will work closely with project and operational teams, providing financial analysis and reporting that supports the successful delivery of critical power projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your accounting expertise while building your career with a market-leading organisation.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Manage month-end reporting, project valuations, forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide analysis on salaries, wages, and overheads to support project profitability.
- Contribute to working capital management, including WIP, billings, and debtor reviews.
- Partner with project teams to ensure financial controls are in place and adhered to.
- Support new contract set-up, adhoc analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an accounting professional with:
- A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
- 2–3 years’ experience in project accounting, management accounting, or a similar finance role.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- CA/CPA accreditation in progress (or willingness to obtain) is highly desirable
