Total Tools Timbs Group is looking for a Full-Time Accountant, who will be responsible for maintaining accurate and compliant financial records, strengthening internal controls, and supporting informed decision-making across the business. Through disciplined execution, analytical insight, and compassionate collaboration, the Accountant contributes directly to profitable growth and the Group’s continued reputation for operational excellence.

What will you be doing?

Financial Accuracy and Control

- Maintain complete, timely, and accurate financial records in line with Australian Accounting Standards and company policies.

- Manage the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring correct coding, classification, and reconciliation across all accounts.

- Conduct supplier and bank reconciliations with precision, investigating and resolving discrepancies swiftly to maintain commercial trust

Financial Reporting & Insights

- Prepare and support monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and cash flow reports to enable performance analysis and management decision-making.

- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to enhance financial transparency and
accountability across business units.

- Partner with operational and store managers to interpret results, identify improvement opportunities, and
drive better margin outcomes

Compliance & Governance

- Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, and
other ATO obligations.

- Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails to support external audits and internal reviews.

- Uphold robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and data integrity.

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and financial discipline across the finance function.

- Collaborate with store and support office teams to build financial literacy and improve commercial decision making.

- Contribute to system enhancement projects (e.g. Pronto, reporting dashboards) that elevate data reliability and accessibility

Does this sound like you?

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline (CA/CPA qualification or working toward).

- Minimum 3–5 years’ accounting experience, ideally within retail, wholesale, or franchise systems.

- Proven experience managing or collaborating with offshore or distributed accounting teams.

- Proficiency in accounting systems (Pronto preferred) and advanced Excel skills.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multi-site environment.
