About the role
The Executive Director, Knowledge and Information Management reports to the Deputy Director General Corporate Services and leads a broad remit of information management encompassing ICT systems and services all aspects of business intelligence and information management, and legislative and business process management. All these elements have a direct impact on the provision of services provided by the Department and the role has considerable influence on the delivery of integrated and optimised operational services, and support for technology as an enabler for business process and service improvement throughout the Department.
The successful applicant will assume a pivotal role in providing leadership and exhibit a personal commitment to high quality customer service, teamwork, equity, integrity and personal learning. The ability to recognise opportunities to enhance service delivery and capitalise on these through the development and implementation of effective change strategies is highly sought, as is the ability to ensure that departmental resources including financial, physical, technological and information requirements are available to maintain a high-quality service delivery.

- 1. Role specific requirement: Demonstrated senior management experience in development and implementation of an integrated information management and technology strategy in a complex, highly regulated environment
- 2. Lead collectively : Seek and build key relationships, work together and focus on the greater good.
- 3. Think through complexity : Think critically, work with ambiguity and uncertainty, assess solutions and impacts, and take calculated risks. Contact details of two work related referees.
- 5. Deliver on high leverage areas : Identify priorities, pursue objectives with tenacity and be resilient in the face of challenges.
