Position Information

Blacktown Boys High School (Years 7–12) is a partially selective public school located on Darug land, within walking distance of the Blacktown CBD. With an enrolment of approximately 908 students, the school embraces a diverse student body, including 22.8% from non-English speaking backgrounds and 1.8% Aboriginal students. The school offers a range of educational pathways through its academically selective stream, High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) class, mainstream classes, and an Inclusive Education Unit. Specific Selection Criteria

- Approval to teach Industrial Technology Timber (ITW) and willing to teach Technology Mandatory Years 7-8 (ITX)
- Willingness to teach Industrial Technology Engineering Stage 5.
- Demonstrated ability to engage diverse learners in a practical workspace ensuring a safe environment for all students.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and collegially within an experienced TAS faculty, including the commitment to participate in whole school initiatives.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
