Responsibilities

- Be part of a forward-thinking team driving best practice ICT procurement and contract management across a major public health service, ensuring value for money and sustainable outcomes for the community.
- Support the delivery of world-class healthcare by ensuring robust ICT procurement processes are in place and providing trusted advice on complex commercial matters.
- Manage high-value contracts from inception through completion and develop strategies aligned with organisational goals and government policy.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes through category planning, supplier engagement, and process improvement.
- Analyse data from multiple sources to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for senior leadership to influence digital sourcing strategy.
- Uphold ethical standards throughout all procurement activities and adapt to changing environments.

What you'll bring (Qualifications)

- Extensive experience in end-to-end ICT procurement within a large or complex organisation, with involvement in category planning and QITC contract management.
- Solid understanding of government policies such as the Queensland Government Procurement Policy (QGP) and the Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) framework.
- Ability to provide expert commercial advice at the executive level and negotiate with suppliers to manage supply risk.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven demand management initiatives that deliver measurable savings or efficiencies.
- Excellent written communication skills for complex briefing notes, board papers, or similar documentation supporting decision making.
- Experience developing supplier engagement plans and implementing process improvements aligned with organisational or government-wide strategies.
- Proven ability to foster collaborative relationships across divisions and reward cooperative behavior.
- Track record of managing multiple projects with clear plans, risk identification, and mitigation actions.
- Commitment to accurate record-keeping in line with policy (IS40) and information security standards.
- Relevant academic qualifications or membership of professional bodies related to ICT procurement or contracts is highly regarded.
