About the Role

With an unbeatable beachfront location, the resort is accessible via 4WD and is the east coast's go-to destination for exploring the island's iconic destinations. With expansive grounds, the resort includes 83 newly renovated hotel rooms and apartments, as well as a restaurant and bar, renowned bakery, and general store.

Bring your vibrant passion for creating incredible products and superb experience in bakery operations to the Bakery at K’gari Beach Resort. We’re looking for a fully trade-qualified Baker to ensure the continued production of the island's popular quality baked goods.

This a permanent full-time opportunity, reporting to our Head Chef and working up to 76 hours per fortnight. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a remote location and will be able to relocate into the staff accommodation at the resort. Affordable Island Living at $310.50 per week, including private accommodation, 3 meals every day + Wi-Fi.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role

- Experience working in a high-volume bakery

- HACCP and Food Safety and Hygiene training

- Relevant bakery trade qualifications

- Advanced communication and organizational skills

- Time management skills that would impress even the busiest bees

- Proven experience in a high-volume bakery environment
