Intensive Family Support (IFS) Case Worker

About Us: At Relationships Australia Queensland (RAQ), we are proud to be Queensland’s leading provider of relationship and family wellbeing services. Our purpose is to provide individuals and families with the tools and support they need to build happier, healthier lives. Through education, counselling, and community programs, we help people develop the skills and resilience to navigate life’s challenges. Our work promotes care and safety, embracing diversity to foster strong and connected communities. We are committed to expanding our expertise and leading conversations about relationships, mental health, and social connection. By joining Relationships Australia Queensland, you can be part of a dedicated team making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities.

About the role

Relationships Australia Queensland (RAQ) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Case Worker to join our Intensive Family Support (IFS) team. This rewarding role provides intensive, holistic, and child-focused case management to families with children aged unborn to 18 years who are experiencing vulnerability or challenges. Using a strengths‑based and family‑focused approach, you will work closely with families to enhance their safety, wellbeing, and resilience, supporting parents and caregivers to build the capacity and confidence to care for their children and prevent entry or re‑entry into the Child Protection system.

Additionally, you will:

- Deliver individualised, child‑centred case management that addresses identified risks and strengthens family functioning.

- Conduct comprehensive family assessments to identify strengths, needs, and safety concerns.

- Develop, implement, and review action plans in partnership with families to achieve positive outcomes.

- Collaborate with service providers, community networks, and government agencies to ensure coordinated and effective support.

- Manage case notes, documentation, and data accurately and in line with organisational and legislative requirements.

- Maintain confidentiality, uphold duty of care, and respond appropriately to identified safety risks, including domestic and family violence.

About you

You are an empathetic and dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting families to create safe, nurturing environments for children. You thrive in a collaborative environment and bring strong communication, organisational, and case management skills.

Additionally, you have:

- A degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

- Experience providing support to families facing vulnerability or disadvantage.

- Experience supporting families affected by domestic and family violence.

- Demonstrated ability to engage and support families from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

- Strong case management and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.

- Sound understanding of family systems theory and strengths‑based approaches.

- Proficiency in maintaining accurate client records and using case management systems.

- A current, unrestricted driver’s licence.

We Can Offer You

- Work-Life Balance – Enjoy a flexible, supportive culture that empowers you to thrive at work and at home.

- Boost Your Take-Home Pay – Access salary packaging options of up to $15,900 per year, significantly increasing your net income.

- Extra Time Off – Recharge with 3 additional paid leave days over the Christmas period, on top of your standard annual leave.

- Annual Leave Loading – Receive extra pay when you take annual leave because your downtime matters.

- Study Leave – Pursuing further qualifications? We offer up to 2 weeks of paid study leave each year to support your professional growth.

- Generous Parental Leave – Take the time you need to focus on your family with our paid parental leave program.

- Wellbeing Support – Benefit from medical insurance discounts and free access to our Employee Assistance Program through Telus Health.

The salary is being offered between $87,000 to $102,000.00 per annum, to be negotiated depending upon qualifications and experience, plus superannuation.
