(21/10/2025) News.com.au seeks national political editor
12 hours ago
News.com.au is on the market for a new national political editor, assigned to Parliament House in Canberra.
The national political editor will work with the national political reporter to cover the latest developments in the Parliament floor, especially leads that may develop into bigger news down the line. Produced content should be accurate, within deadlines and according to News style guidelines. The person may also be tasked to monitor all digital channels for other news leads.
The post will require journalists with detailed newsroom experience and a background in political discussions, plus proficiency in writing balanced content for a digital audience. Candidates with secondary subject interests that can angle to politics may also be considered.
