**Editor - Canberra Office - Permanent Full Time**

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Editor to join our Publishing team based in Canberra. You will lead the editorial of Canberra’s leading property portal, Allhomes, and oversee and edit its flagship magazine and digital news in collaboration with Domain’s Content Marketing team.**Who are you?**
- You are an

- ** Canberra** and have proven experience as an editor/journalist in print and digital publishing, as a section editor in a newsroom or as a content creator.
- Reporting directly to the National Magazine Editor, you will develop and execute Allhomes editorial strategy for magazines and digital news in line with the broader Domain Group strategy. You will continue to make the Allhomes magazine and online news a ‘must read’ habit of The Canberra Times audience and will bring in new readers.
- You will be someone who has a real passion for property and will create a compelling value proposition for real estate agents, developers, education and media clients. You will also be part of the Allhomes leadership team and will be managing a team of external contributors including writers and photographers.**You will**:

- Work closely with the Allhomes product and sales teams to drive revenue for the business
- Create and produce high-quality editions of Allhomes magazine in The Canberra Times
- Commission, produce and edit features and content about property and property lifestyle
- Educate writers on best practices, identify ways to improve the flow of stories and advise writers on content pieces
- Liaise closely with The Canberra Times for all print/digital property news
- Generate and commission engaging property news content for the Allhomes and The Canberra Times websites
- Liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver a compelling print product and digital offering
- Think creatively about how to present news, information and content to our audience, via Nine and The Canberra Times mastheads, Facebook and other channels
- Manage the weekly/monthly content calendar and implementation of state/national special editions
- Devise and implement new ways to grow print and digital audiences
- Manage editorial costs and budgets for Allhomes magazine and digital
- Hold a degree in journalism or equivalent industry qualification
- Possess sound and seasoned writing and editing skills, as well as an eye for detail and a good understanding of strong visual aesthetics

**Desirable skills**:

- Experience in property journalism
- Experience commissioning and liaising with freelance writers, and managing a commissioning budget
