Overview

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving performance and delivering results? Transit Systems NSW is seeking a Planning and Performance Manager to lead contract oversight, performance reporting, and analytics across Regions 6, 2, and 3.

Package: Competitive salary including car allowance or company car, plus bonus payments

As the Planning and Performance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with Transport for NSW requirements, maximising revenue, and mitigating risks associated with abatements and penalties. You will provide strategic leadership in performance analytics, contract management, and planning for future contract renewals and tender opportunities.

Key Success Measures

This role gives you the opportunity to influence operational decisions, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and shape the future of public transport services in NSW. Your success will be measured by:

- Delivery of all contractual KPIs and compliance requirements
- Accurate, timely, and insightful reporting and analytics
- Reduction in abatements and penalties
- Strong stakeholder relationships, particularly with Transport for NSW
- Contribution to successful contract renewals and tenders

Key Responsibilities

- Contract Oversight & Compliance: Ensure all contractual obligations are met, oversee frameworks for abatements and penalties, and manage timely reporting to Transport for NSW.
- Performance & Analytics: Lead data-driven insights into operational outcomes, monitor KPIs, and develop strategies to improve performance and reduce risks.
- Planning & Strategy: Contribute to contract renewal planning, tender bids, and long-term service delivery alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a senior liaison with Transport for NSW, build strong government and industry relationships, and collaborate internally to align performance objectives across the business.

About You

- Tertiary qualified in Business, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline.
- Experienced in contract management, performance reporting, or compliance, ideally within transport, infrastructure, or government sectors.
- Skilled in managing large service contracts and influencing government stakeholders.
- Analytical and strategic thinker, capable of driving operational excellence while supporting long-term planning.
- A strong leader with experience developing teams and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
