Our in-house Performance and Media team plays a crucial role in Macquarie’s retail banking business, helping reach, engage and convert customers at scale. As a member of this team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the strategic and tactical go to market initiatives across performance marketing channels.
At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 31 markets and with 56 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.
What role will you play?
Your role will involve co-developing and managing comprehensive campaigns across paid search, affiliates and app stores supporting colleagues across the Marketing ecosystem to drive product consideration and customer acquisition.
You will measure campaign performance rigorously, identifying trends and insights that inform strategic decisions and optimisation recommendations across multiple channels and touchpoints. This will help to identify initiatives that will improve the experience and conversion through the acquisition funnel.
You will work closely with digital advertising platforms and with internal Data & AI, Digital and Technology teams. You will play a key role in identifying, prioritising and delivering innovations to our digital advertising program.
What you offer
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in running performance marketing campaigns across paid search (Google Ads, Bing Ads), affiliates (Canstar, Finder), app stores (Apple Search Ads, Google App Campaigns) and programmatic media buying (DA360).
- Ability to manage large media budgets and execute campaigns to drive acquisition volume efficiently.
- Proven experience in experimentation and A/B testing: developing test and learn frameworks and initiatives to drive conversion (CRO).
- Proficiency and comfort with data and analysis, as well as reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Datorama and ThoughtSpot.
- High degree of accountability for customer, brand, commercial and risk outcomes, with great attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Experience in collaborating well as part of cross-functional teams; mentoring or leadership experience is an advantage.
- Agency experience is preferred but not essential.
What we offer
At Macquarie, you’re empowered to shape a career that’s rewarding in all the ways that matter most to you. Macquarie employees can access a wide range of benefits which, depending on employment type, include:
- 1 wellbeing leave day per year.
- Up to 5 additional service bonus leave days per year.
- Up to 20 weeks’ paid parental leave for primary caregivers along with 12 days of transition leave upon return to work, and 6 weeks’ paid leave for non-primary caregivers.
- 2 days of paid volunteer leave and donation matching.
- Up to 12 months’ gender affirmation leave, including 6 weeks’ paid leave.
- Access to Employee Assistance Program and wellbeing benefits including skin and health checks, and flu vaccinations.
- Access to a wide range of salary packaging options.
- Access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities, including reimbursement for professional membership or subscription.
- Hybrid and flexible working arrangements, dependent on role.
- Reimbursement for work from home equipment.
About Banking and Financial Services

We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply and welcome all identities, including race, ethnicity, cultural identity, nationality, gender (including gender identity or expression), age, sexual orientation, marital or partnership status, parental, caregiving or family status, family and domestic violence status, neurodiversity, religion or belief, disability, or socio-economic background.
