The roster is 8/6 Dayshift only and a 12hr shift.

About the role
At Ernest Henry, we’re focused on keeping our operation running safely, smoothly and reliably. In this newly created Maintenance Coordinator – Fixed Plant role, you’ll be an integral part of the fixed plant team driving operational excellence through high-level operational understanding, quality data management, and close partnership with Supervisors and crews to optimise work execution.
This role is all about planning and coordination. You’ll keep the 4–12 week maintenance schedule on track, manage work forward logs, and make sure tasks and schedules align with mine priorities. You’ll partner with Supervisors, planners and crews to deliver quality execution every shift. Just as importantly, you’ll lead by example—lifting safety standards, coaching others, and ensuring we do what we say.
Key things you’ll do:
- Oversee forward maintenance planning and compliance to our maintenance plan.
- Drive quality data and forward log management in our CMMS (Pronto).
- Mentor Supervisors to improve safety interactions, work execution and operational decision-making.
- Take the lead on incident investigations
- Develop our apprentices so that they build skills across materials handling, hoisting and dewatering.
- Monitor schedule compliance and reduce re-work
- Review costs routinely and ensure budget compliance.
About you
You’re an experienced underground fixed plant maintenance professional with a proven ability to lead teams and deliver results. You know how to plan ahead, solve problems on the run, and keep people focused on safety.To be successful, you’ll bring:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining).
- Minimum 5 years’ fixed plant maintenance experience in mining, with supervisory exposure.
- S1, S2, S3 Certification (mandatory).
- ICAM training and First Aid Certificate (desirable).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and clear communication skills.
- Proficiency in Safety systems (e.g. INX) and CMMS (e.g. Pronto) systems.
