The Role

Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent, this role provides technical support to enable effective execution of equipment maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives. You will contribute to the development and implementation of enhanced maintenance strategies, support the coordination and planning of major outages, and assist in developing execution tools and work management processes to improve maintenance efficiency and reliability.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Promote Zero Harm through adherence to HSE standards, behavioural safety leadership, and proactive engagement with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Provide technical support to the Mechanical Maintenance Team for day-to-day operations, breakdowns, and small projects
  • Backfill of Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent when required
  • Leading investigations into equipment failures
  • Carrying out quality checks, developing work scopes and inspection test plans
  • Review and improvement of maintenance strategies
  • Support the planning and delivery of maintenance projects

What you'll bring

Ideally you will have proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer. Other desirable skills and experience include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in a plant based role, preferably in chemical manufacturing, heavy industry or mining environment
  • Experience with SAP or similar (CMMS)
