We are seeking a hands-on, safety-focused
Team Leader
to oversee the operation of our Townsville depot. (This position is internally referred to as
Depot Coordinator
.)

As the Depot Coordinator, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient coordination of day-to-day terminal operations including the receipt, storage, blending, and dispatch of cement products. This hands-on leadership role will see you working closely with internal teams, transport providers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to maintain a clean, compliant, and productive depot environment.

This role operates on a Monday to Friday day shift, with an on-call requirement.

Your Opportunity

  • Promote a strong SHEQ culture and ensure safety, environmental and quality compliance across site activities
  • Manage the operation of the blender to meet production and quality targets
  • Lead and support a small team of direct reports including day-to-day supervision and performance development
  • Plan and execute preventative and breakdown maintenance within budget
  • Coordinate site contractors and ensure adherence to safety and contract management procedures
  • Oversee rail, road and shipment unloading operations and maintain required reporting
  • Maintain stock levels and site housekeeping standards
  • Build strong working relationships with transport providers, rail authorities and key stakeholders
  • Provide depot relief support to other sites where required
  • Perform SAP entries, generate reports, and support production administration when necessary

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in a terminal, logistics, or industrial plant environment
  • A commitment to safety and a solid understanding of SHEQ principles
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
  • People leadership experience and the ability to build a positive team culture
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience using SAP or similar systems (desirable)
  • Flexibility to provide support at other depots when needed
  • Possess a mechanical background or strong mechanical aptitude
  • Forklift License
