Our Wantirna South campus is seeking two Secondary Learning Support Assistants to work 3 to 5 days per week (8:50am-3:35pm during term time), who desire to play a vital role in the creation of an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
As an integral part of our school community and educational team, you act as a bridge between students and their teacher and help to foster connections between students and their peers. By ensuring each student receives the support they need to actively participate in school and class, you'll have the rewarding experience of seeing them achieve milestones they might not have reached on their own.
Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025.
You are an ideal candidate if you:
- Have as a minimum, a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support, or be prepared to study towards one
- Have a passion for supporting students with disabilities
- Are able to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and other support staff
- Can demonstrate high level communication and interpersonal skills
- Have good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
- Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities

Applicants are to include a Resume, Letter of Application, Pastoral Reference Letter and complete the screening questions as part of the application process. Applicants will also need to provide a list of three referees. Please indicate in your cover letter how many days you are interested in working.
A Working with Children’s Check, and a Police Check less than three months old are mandatory prior to being hired. A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011), CPR Certificate (HLTAID009), and Anaphylaxis Certificate (22578VIC) are also required prior to starting in the role.
