Learning Support Assistant - Narre Warren South Secondary (Multiple Roles)

Waverley Christian College is a forward-thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2024.
The Learning Enhancement and Program Support (LEAPS) Department provides learning enrichment and support for a wide range of students throughout the College. The team consists of Learning Support Coordinators (LSCs), Learning Support Teachers (LSTs) for both intervention and enrichment, and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). The department collaborates with parents, teachers, and other specialists to form a multi-disciplinary approach to supporting students and their learning needs.
Due to growth at the College, we currently have several exciting opportunities available for Learning Support Assistants (Secondary) for our Narre Warren South campus. Our Learning Support Assistants play a vital role in the creation of an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive. Learning Support Assistants are an integral part of our school community, ensuring that each student receives the necessary support to facilitate their active participation in school and classroom activities. Your support will make a lasting impact on their educational journey.
We currently have one 5 day a week (8:45am-3:30pm) role available, as well as a 4 day a week (8:45am-3:30pm) fixed-term parental leave replacement role for Term 1 – Term 3, 2025.
You are an ideal candidate if you:
- Have a minimum of a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support, or be prepared to study towards one
- Have a passion for supporting students with disabilities
- Have the ability to collaborate with teachers, students, and other support staff
- Have high-level communication and interpersonal skills
- Have good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Have excellent problem-solving skills
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
- Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities

A Working with Children’s Check and a police check less than three months old are mandatory prior to being hired. A First Aid Certificate (HLTAD011) and Anaphylaxis Certificate are also required prior to starting in the role.
