About the Role

The Injury Management Coordinator plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality injury management, return to work (RTW), and injury prevention programs across the Qld organisation. This role is responsible for ensuring that injury-related processes are handled efficiently, compassionately, and in full compliance with legislation and internal policies. In this role, you will lead proactive health surveillance initiatives, contribute to continuous improvement of injury management systems, and drive injury prevention efforts to create a safer workplace. This role will be ideal for candidates who prefer working an afternoon shift pattern.

Responsibilities

- Lead injury management, RTW planning, and prevention initiatives in the Queensland organisation.
- Ensure injury-related processes comply with legislation and internal policies.
- Develop tailored RTW plans and support injured employees throughout recovery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of injury management systems and wellbeing programs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate early intervention strategies and appropriate care.

About You

As our Injury Management Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our wellbeing strategy - you’ll facilitate early intervention strategies, develop tailored RTW plans and ensure that injured employees receive appropriate care and support throughout their recovery journey.

You’ll Bring

- An Occupational Therapy qualification or similar.
- Advanced Return to Work and Level 3 First Aid qualifications.
- Strong understanding of workers’ compensation legislation.
- Proven experience in coordinating injury management and return to work programmes, ideally in a high-risk, high-compliant industries.
- Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate with clarity, influence, and purpose.
- Skill in managing multiple cases and competing priorities with efficiency, focus, and sound judgment.
