(Urgent) ADF Rehabilitation Consultant
1 day ago
Overview
Be part of the team that gets our military fully fit, ready to defend and protect Australia. Nurses bring a truly unique and valuable insight in supporting our ADF return to wellness. Working as a Rehabilitation Consultant you will draw upon your clinical skills and support people throughout their rehab journey. Unlike many nursing roles, you will be rewarded with real tangible outcomes. A vital link helping our ADF achieve specific health goals to be able to return to service.
- Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including the employee who has suffered injury, illness, or trauma, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals;
- Apply your nursing knowledge to facilitate a return to wellness plan;
- Case management - implementing and monitoring rehabilitation plans;
- Complete initial assessments and perform worksite reviews
Unlike most other Rehabilitation Consultant roles, KPI’s are based on service delivery outcomes, NOT billable hours. Genuine person-centred focus
You will work across local ADF bases in this hybrid role. Location may vary between the Acumen office, client site (mainly RAAF Base Amberley) and work from home options.
Joining a high-quality service provider, you will be supported and mentored through direct interaction and an extensive onboarding process (incl. ongoing shadowing) to build your technical knowledge and expertise setting you up for success.
What will make you successful:
- Current unrestricted registration or membership with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing
- Case Management
- Experience with professional documentation and or report writing
- Strong clinical reasoning
- Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
- Passion to help people rehabilitate
Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists, Rehabilitation Counsellors, Osteopaths or Social Workers with appropriate professional registration are also encouraged to apply
