YHA Coolangatta is a vibrant and welcoming property located in the heart of Coolangatta, just steps away from some of Australia’s best beaches and the Gold Coast Airport. This property is ideal for travellers seeking a beachside adventure or a relaxing getaway in a lively city. YHA Coolangatta features a range of private and co‑living rooms with shared bathrooms and offers facilities, including a swimming pool, guest games room, and convenient proximity to public transport, cafés, and local attractions.

About the role

The Guest Services All‑Rounder is a casual role that allows you to gain exposure to all operational aspects of our amazing properties. This unique position enables you to work across Reception, Housekeeping, Guest Activities and Food & Beverage, and offers development opportunities locally and across Australia.

Responsibilities

- Reception – Welcoming guests and ensuring a seamless check‑in process while accurately recording all accounts and documentation.

- Guest Activities – Create, promote and plan guest activities, including social events, to keep guests engaged and entertained.

- Housekeeping – Maintain property and guest rooms to the highest standards, manage laundry, and address maintenance or safety issues efficiently.

- Food & Beverage – Uphold food hygiene and compliance, prepare and serve food and beverages, including coffee making/barista duties.

- Health & Safety – Ensure adherence to all YHA policies and procedures for the safety of staff and guests.

About you

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for delivering fun and engaging service.

- Experience in customer service, hospitality, or a similar role.

- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

- Experience using Microsoft Office.

- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

- RSA certification is essential; a First Aid certificate is desirable.

- Knowledge of the local area and the travel/tourism industry is desirable.
