As our **Manager Event Operations, WHS & Operational Risk**, you’ll lead the development of risk management and safety frameworks for some of the largest concerts and tours in the country. Based in Melbourne or Sydney, this role has a strong focus on stadium and arenas, ensuring every event is delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest standard. Reporting to the SVP Concerts & Touring, you’ll drive health and safety protocols, risk management, and operational planning that protect patrons, contractors, artists, and staff. You’ll collaborate with our Global Security Operations teams and key local stakeholders to embed best-practice standards, strengthen incident management processes, and elevate operational resilience. Apply now with a cover letter telling us why you’re the perfect fit for this opportunity. **What you’ll be doing:****Health & Safety Compliance**: Lead the implementation of WHS programs and ensure all regulatory and industry standards are met across our events.**Risk Management**: Oversee event risk assessments and maintain a centralised Live Nation risk register, ensuring consistent consultation and allocation of responsibilities.**Incident & Crisis Response**: Manage emergency planning, evacuation procedures, and incident investigation/reporting for major tours and festivals.**Venue & Vendor Coordination**: Partner with venues, vendors, and internal teams to ensure contracts, policies, and service standards are upheld.**Event Planning Integration**: Align venue planning with show-specific risk, security, crowd safety, FOH/BOH operations, and gate management.**Accessibility Leadership**: Support the operational rollout of accessibility initiatives in partnership with the SVP Product & Innovation.**Collaboration & Influence**: Work across a complex matrix organisation, building strong relationships to drive outcomes and innovation. **What you’ll bring:*** **Proven WHS & Risk Expertise:** Solid experience in risk management and WHS within concerts, festivals, or large-scale events.* **Event Delivery Background:** At least 5 years’ experience in event management, with a track record of delivering complex tours and shows.* **Relevant Accreditation:** Professional WHS/risk qualifications, with L5 Crowd Safety Management accreditation (or willingness to complete).* **Strong Problem-Solving Skills:** A critical thinker who can assess challenges quickly and implement practical solutions.* **Leadership & Vision:** Ability to influence and inspire others, bringing clarity and direction in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.* **Collaborative Approach:** Openness to new ideas and a knack for working with multiple stakeholders to innovate and improve processes.* **Flexibility & Commitment:** Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends in line with touring demands.**The Benefits:*** A vibrant, music-focused workplace fostering creativity and collaboration.* Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.* Access to concerts, events, and other entertainment perks.* A diverse, equitable workplace where every voice matters.* Comprehensive benefits, from volunteer days to wellness programs and mental health support. **Equal Opportunities:**We are deeply committed to diversity, inclusion, and supporting our people.
