Perth Airport is Australia's Western Hub connecting the people, businesses and communities of Western Australia with the rest of Australia and the world. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year, Perth Airport plays a significant role in providing economic, social and cultural benefits to West Australians.
Perth Airport is investing more than $5 billion in new infrastructure so we can support our airline partners to grow, offering more services to new destinations and an improved customer experience. This will be the largest funded private equity build in Western Australia for the last 30 years.
Over the coming decade we will expand T1 International, and build new domestic terminal facilities, a parallel runway, two multi-storey carparks and our first airport hotel. This will deliver one airport for the people of Western Australia which will host all flight services in a central location giving passengers a seamless, world-class travel experience.
The Perth Airport estate is spread over 2100 hectares and has developed a $1.5 billion portfolio of existing industrial premises and significant vacant land holdings.
We service a truly diverse community and play an important role in strengthening cultural, family and social bonds while supporting business, tourism and leisure travel.
We are on the lookout for a passionate and proactive Manager WHS Systems to lead the ongoing development, implementation and continuous improvement of Perth Airport's Work Health and Safety (WHS) Management System.
In this critical leadership role, you'll play a key part in shaping a culture of safety and wellbeing across our workplace, ensuring the safety of our staff, contractors, tenants and visitors through effective systems, policies, training and leadership.

- Conduct audits, assurance checks, safety inspections and provide strategic advice on WHS risks and control measures.
- Drive the integration of WHS requirements into contractor management processes, ensuring effective onboarding, compliance, and monitoring.
- Provide guidance on the Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) and deliver effective WHS training programs.
- Foster a positive safety culture by leading WHS initiatives and building collaborative relationships across business units and with external stakeholders.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in WHS (or related discipline) with 5+ years' experience in WHS leadership, ideally in complex operational or large construction environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing WHS Management Systems and delivering on risk, audit, and legislative compliance requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of harmonised WHS legislation and practical experience applying this within a diverse workplace.
- Skilled in WHS incident investigation (ICAM or Taproot qualified), with a track record of delivering meaningful outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and build trust across all levels of the business.
- Recognised for your integrity, calm under pressure, and ability to drive results while managing competing priorities.
- A confident leader with a passion for safety and the ability to embed WHS principles in day-to-day operations and long-term planning.
- Project management, training and assessment qualifications, and JavaScript experience will be highly regarded.
