The Role

We have an exciting opportunity in the Statutory Planning team for a motivated planner with a strong foundation in statutory planning. The role involves assessing development and subdivision approval applications and providing statutory planning advice to customers and stakeholders.

This role allows you to grow your skills in planning and be part of a nurturing team. If you are passionate about planning and engaging with the community, apply now We consider candidates who are newly graduated or experienced planning officers, with salary negotiated based on suitability.

Selection Criteria

The successful candidate will mirror our values of Friendly and helpful, Teamwork, Creativity, Integrity, and Respect, and demonstrate:

- Previous experience in Town Planning (minimum 1 year)
- Demonstrated knowledge of statutory provisions and presentation skills
- Statutory town planning, policy development, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to exercise initiative and judgement
- High-level communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Previous experience in Western Australian local government (desirable)
- Tertiary qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline
- Right to work in Australia
