Independent Reviewing Officer (Social Worker)
Job Title: Independent Reviewing Officer (Social Worker) Specialism: Social Work Location: Scott House, Cambridge, but IROs work a mix of working from home, fieldwork, and any CCC office Duration of Assignment: 13 weeks Salary: £42 per hour Working Hours: 37 hours per week Full Time
We are seeking a skilled Independent Reviewing Officer who is enthusiastic about making a real difference in children’s lives. This role in Cambridge offers a competitive pay rate of £42 per hour for a 13-week assignment with full-time hours.

Responsibilities:
- Chair statutory Child in Care Reviews in person.
- Monitor ongoing progress of children’s care plans and pathway plans diligently.
- Identify areas where there is drift and delay in achieving permanence for children, and escalate issues per CCC’s Escalation Policy protocols.
- Visit children outside of reviews to ensure their well-being and progress.
- Travel to children at their care placements, with 50% residing outside of Cambridgeshire.
