About the role
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Workplace Relations & Safety Lawyer (Senior Associate or Special Counsel) to join a well-established and growing team in the firm’s Melbourne office. You’ll drive key matters within their national Workplace Relations practice, actively advising and representing clients across diverse industries on complex employment, industrial relations, and OH&S matters.

Duties
You’ll enjoy real autonomy while still having access to supportive, down-to-earth Partners for guidance and mentoring. As part of a dynamic generalist Workplace Relations team, you’ll tackle a diverse and stimulating mix of advisory and litigation work, including:
- Drafting employment agreements & contracts, enterprise bargaining and contractor agreements
- Advising on discrimination, harassment, bullying, and employee entitlements
- Providing advice on employee entitlements
- Handling employment-related disputes and post-employment restraints
- Delivering strategic workplace relations advice
- Leading client workshops on general OH&S matters
Skills & experience
Ideally, you will have:
- 5+ years’ experience in workplace relations/employment law
- A background in a reputable employment law practice, ideally within a mid or top-tier law firm
- Strong drafting skills and the ability to communicate advice clearly and effectively
- A well-developed commercial mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving
- Genuine passion for growing your career in employment law within a leading national practice
