About the Job

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Multi Plant Operator/ Labourer to join our Maintenance team. This dual-role position involves performing general labouring duties related to road and drainage maintenance and operating a range of small to medium machinery (e.g. rollers, skid steers, mini-excavators, compactors).

You will play a key role in maintaining safe, functional roads and infrastructure, with a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities:

- assist with roadside drainage work including clearing culverts, pits, and stormwater lines
- perform physical labour including digging, shovelling, raking, and heavy lifting
- carry out road surface repairs (pothole patching, asphalt reinstatement, crack sealing)
- set up and pack down traffic control devices (signs, cones, barriers)
- work safely in live traffic environments and adhere to all site safety protocols

What we are looking for:

- experience in site preparation, roadworks, earthworks, drainage, or other civil infrastructure projects
- current WA HR driver’s licence
- White Card
- relevant experience operating mechanical plant equipment of low – medium operator complexity
- experience in road or civil maintenance, construction, or utilities
- strong physical fitness and stamina for outdoor manual work
- strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations
- a proactive team player with good communication skills and attention to detail
