Network Support Officer
Full-time Temporary

Details: Transport Canberra is seeking a proactive and skilled Network Support Officer to join our team. In this pivotal role you will coordinate compliance activities, support operational excellence and contribute to a safe and respectful public transport environment.

Key responsibilities:

- Coordinate and manage rosters for Transit Enforcement Officers ensuring operational coverage and efficiency.
- Oversee the issuance of warning notices and Penalty Infringement Notices (PINs’) acting as the primary escalation point for related issues.
- Supervise and prepare reports on fare compliance and occupational violence.
- Interpret and apply legislation and policies in daily operations.
- Deliver clear, tailored communication to a range of audiences.
- Assess and manage risks, responding appropriately to incidents.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

- A pre-employment medical is required.
- Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under theWorking with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to -Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain and maintain).
- Minimum C class drivers’ licence is preferred.

Must be eligible to be appointed as an Authorised Person under the Road Transport (General) Act 1999, Successful applicants:

- Must successfully complete all pre-employment checks including police check
- If found suitable for the role, you will be asked to complete a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and submit relevant documents for Transport Canberra to undertake the police check.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for up to 12 months. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
