What you’ll be doing :

In this high-impact position, you’ll partner closely with senior stakeholders across the engineering and safety sectors to attract and hire top-tier talent in highly specialised and competitive markets. You’ll be the go-to expert for technical hiring, bringing deep market insights and creative sourcing strategies to the table.

You’ll thrive in an environment that values agility, creativity, and speed – and where your ability to pivot, prioritise, and deliver will be key to success.

You will:

- Own end-to-end recruitment for engineering and safety roles across the business
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers and influence workforce planning
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for niche skill sets in tight talent markets
- Champion Virgin Australia’s employer brand in the corporate space
- Use data to drive decisions and continuously improve recruitment outcomes
- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing your expertise and insights

What You’ll Bring :

- Proven experience recruiting in technical, analytics, or operational areas (e.g., engineering, transformation or maintenance operations)
- Strong understanding of talent market dynamics and sourcing in skills-short environments
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for candidate experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving business environment

We’re committed to looking after you, with some of the best benefits and conditions in the industry – including (but not limited to):

- Heavily discounted air travel for you and your loved ones (including $1000 worth of travel credits per year)
- Flexible working arrangements (including work hours and work from home)
- Discounts on travel insurance, car hire, accommodation and experiences worldwide
- Hospitality, retail, technology, beauty services and wellness discounts
- A comprehensive Employee Assistance Program, which offers confidential coaching and support from qualified professionals for all aspects of life – physical, mental, social and financial.
- Dress for Your Day – enjoy the freedom to wear whatever is appropriate for the type of work you do and the day you have ahead of you.

When everyone is included, everyone wins
