Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective running of the relevant Dry Operations Warehouses, whilst delivering a high level of service and quality to the SCT customer base.

Lead and develop teams – mentor Leading Hands and warehouse staff, fostering strong leadership, teamwork, and accountability.

Ensure safety and compliance – uphold SCT’s WHS, HR, IR, and company policies, driving a zero-harm culture.

Deliver operational excellence – plan and manage warehouse tasks to meet safety, service, quality, and cost targets.

Maintain customer focus – ensure exceptional service, timely communication, and swift action on delivery issues.

Drive quality and continuous improvement – champion system compliance and promote innovation across operations.

Manage performance and KPIs – monitor staff output, equipment, and site conditions, reporting key results to management.

Optimize resources and efficiency – plan shifts, allocate labor, and prioritise workloads to achieve productivity goals.

Champion communication and engagement – conduct toolbox meetings, maintain documentation, and promote collaboration.

Contribute to site leadership – work closely with the Operations Manager to drive continuous improvement and achieve branch targets.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Extensive experience in an Operational supervisory/Management role.

- Working knowledge of the transport industry.

- Working experience and knowledge of the FMCG market in Western Australia.

- Warehouse Management & Freight Tracking systems and practices.

- Understanding of continuous improvement and a commitment to improve operations
