About the role
- The Peer Support Worker – headspace will use their lived experience and recovery to support others and help them navigate their mental health
challenges and achieve their individual vocational goals.
- Work in conjunction with headspace staff to support young people to gain employment or to engage in education.
- The aim is, support for young people and minimise the impact of their mental health issue and to enable recovery through meaningful
employment or education.
- Build effective rapport with young people by providing a safe, inclusive, and professional environment.
About you
- Experience supporting a friend or family member with mental health challenges
- Ability to use lived experience aligned with mental health challenges to help young people seeking work and study.
- Employment experience in any sector (desirable).
- Knowledge of the Individual Placement and Support Program (desirable).

- 5 weeks annual leave plus 17.5% leave loading
- Salary range: dependant on experience (pro-rata for part time positions)
