Position Purpose

The Disability Support Worker provides flexible, individualized support to participants, facilitating involvement in daily activities and living skills programs across all services.

Essential Compliance Documents
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • 100 points of ID (e.g., Citizenship, Passport, Driver License, Visa & Granted Form, Medicare Card)
  • Police Clearance
  • First Aid + CPR
  • Manual Handling
  • Medication Certificate
  • Car Registration
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance
  • Covid-19 Vaccinations (3 doses)
  • Availability for at least 5 days a week
Free Online Training (Provided)
  • NDIS induction and worker orientation modules
  • Communication support
  • Meal safety
  • Covid-19 Infection Control and PPE training
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Understanding of NDIS
  • Experience as a disability support worker (preferred)
  • Computer literacy
Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily activities and home tasks
  • Provide interventions, psycho-education, and mentoring
  • Support personal hygiene and community access
  • Offer emotional support and encouragement
  • Facilitate communication and decision-making
  • Implement behavior management strategies
  • Plan and track goals
  • Support learning, skill development, and employment
  • Transport participants to appointments and social activities
  • Uphold rights, independence, dignity, and confidentiality
