As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled Accountant (General) to join our team and contribute to our financial operations.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial processes, reporting, and compliance. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing taxation requirements, and providing strategic financial advice to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies.
Prepare financial statements for management, directors, and statutory bodies.
Conduct financial investigations, audits, and prepare reports.
Advise on mergers, capital financing, taxation, and business purchases.
Examine operating costs, income, and expenditure.
Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial reports with statutory requirements.
Provide financial and taxation advice on business structures and operations.
Prepare and lodge taxation returns for individuals and businesses.
Liaise with financial institutions to establish funds management arrangements.
Implement and maintain accounting systems, including software recommendations.
Maintain internal financial control systems.
Assess cash flow and financial risks related to investment projects.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks).
Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulatory compliance.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
