Brisbane CBD | Paralegal | Insurance | 12 Month Temp Contract

The Opportunity

Join a dynamic legal team providing essential paralegal services that support a large insurance team. This is a 12-month temporary contract role with the possibility of extension, offering exposure to a fast-paced environment and a variety of legal matters.

The Role

You will provide high-quality paralegal support to legal staff, assisting in document preparation, discovery, trial preparation, and administrative tasks. This role requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting lawyers and other legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Filing, serving, and preparing legal documents, briefs, and indexes.

- Conducting searches in courts, tribunals, hospitals, businesses, and companies.

- Assisting in discovery processes, including inspection and copying of documents.

- Drafting routine correspondence and court documentation.

- Supporting trial preparation and attending as required.

- Maintaining systems, liaising with clients and counsel, and assisting with billing and time recording.

About You

- Experience providing paralegal support in a fast-paced legal environment.

- Strong technology skills and willingness to learn new systems.

- Process-driven, highly organised, and detail-oriented.

- Adaptable and able to work under supervision across multiple tasks.

- Resilient with effective coping strategies for exposure to sensitive material.

- Excellent communication and client liaison skills.
