**Your new role**

This government department is looking for a Paralegal (Property) to support administrative services as directed in the provision of support to lawyers and legal staff. Your primary role is to assist legal officers with the more routine legal tasks so that they may concentrate on providing high quality legal services to clients.

Key duties include:

- Providing legal and administrative assistance to legal staff
- Assisting in the discovery process and providing administrative support
- Drafting routine court documentation, arranging meetings, appointments, conferences and interviews as required
- Maintaining bring-up systems and any other systems that may assist legal staff in their day-to-day operations
- Liaising as required with clients, Counsel, legal practitioners, expert witnesses and staff
- Accurately and responsibly recording client time and achieving billing targets within work constraints
- Assist with billing process as applicable to your team.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Strong strategic thinking abilities
- Ability to build strong and professional relationships
- High communication and attention-to-detail skills
- Previous administrative experience is essential
- Legal experience is required, depending on level of role applied.
