This position is responsible for the daily operational management of the refrigerated transport fleet, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of goods to customers across the Perth metropolitan area.

Key responsibilities

- Overseeing day-to-day operations of the refrigerated fleet, including company vehicles and subcontractors

- Scheduling and planning daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure on-time service

- Managing driver rosters and monitoring driver performance

- Maintaining accurate daily activity records and reconciliation of subcontractor payments

- Assisting with KPI reporting and compliance documentation

- Preparing run sheets, manifests, and consignment notes

- Ensuring HACCP and Chain of Responsibility compliance

- Conducting regular toolbox meetings with drivers

- Providing weekend support as required

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

- Proven experience as a Fleet Controller within the transport or logistics industry, ideally in an FMCG or terminal environment

- Strong knowledge of the Perth metro area

- A thorough understanding of OHS standards, Chain of Responsibility, and Load Restraint regulations

- The ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and motivation

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- Solid computer literacy; SAP experience highly regarded

- A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to maintaining service excellence

- The ability to motivate and manage a team effectively

- A 'can-do' mindset and willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done
