Overview
Confluence Water, a Ventia, Downer and Jacobs Joint Venture, is one of three Regional Delivery Partnerships providing services for Sydney Water. We work hard to ensure that Sydney Water keeps running for people who live in the North Region of Sydney — rain, hail or shine. We are often the first to reach an emergency during severe weather events and we are responsible for the delivery of an unprecedented pipeline of capital works over the course of our 10 year contract. Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.
We have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Confluence Water Joint Venture team on a permanent, full-time basis. This presents an excellent opportunity to undertake Construction of Water & Wastewater Projects in a long-term program of works. You will be responsible for the delivery of the project from inception to final stage commissioning whilst focusing on the development and efficient productivity of a growing team. These projects will initially be focused on Belrose, Wahroonga and Beacon Hill.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of projects from inception to final commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, time and cost objectives are met.
- Coordinate and drive project planning, execution, and governance across multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop and manage project forecasts and budgets, with a focus on accurate forecasting requirements.
- Communicate effectively with senior leaders and tradespeople to align on goals and progress.
- Mentor and develop team members to build capability within the JV.
- Contribute to long-term program delivery for water and wastewater infrastructure in the region.
Qualifications
- Passionate about the Project Management Fundamentals including: Time, Cost, Schedule, Risk.
- Experience working on Water and Waste Water infrastructure projects
- Solid experience and understanding of project forecasting requirements.
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders and tradespeople.
- Exposure to large infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Proven and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and has an appetite for developing others.
