About the Role

This role will be responsible for supporting the production team in managing the production process of each garment or product in line with deadlines and ensuring administration & reporting tasks are completed in a timely & accurate manner. The Production Coordinator collaborates with planning, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful production process. The role necessitates a proactive approach towards executing various administrative and reporting tasks with a strong emphasis on precision and accuracy.

Major Responsibilities

- Maintain the production pipeline for goods as driven by the category lead/buyers, engaging with other production team members as needed to develop supplier relationships and deliver the production brief as required.

- Develop production schedules, taking into account demand forecasts, seasonal trends, and promotional activities.

- Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure all products meet established standards, including regularly conducting inspections and addressing quality related issues.

- Work closely with suppliers, logistics and internal teams to facilitate smooth production processes, address challenges and optimise efficiency.

- Oversee the entire production process including cutting, sewing, finishing, and packaging. Ensure that production flows smoothly and efficiently.

- Coordinate with suppliers to source and procure materials, fabrics, trims and other components required for production.

- Manage the development and approval of production samples, ensuring they match the designers vision and meet brand ID standards.

- Continuously assess and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and maintain a high level of product quality.

- Maintain accurate records of production activity and relevant data to support decision making and compliance requirements.

- Effectively contribute to the accomplishment of production team departmental objectives through a proactive and synergistic approach and seamless communication.

- Manage and monitor vendor compliance and adherence to quality, delivery, and documentation requirements, initiating chargebacks where applicable, and working closely with the warehouse team to address issues such as faulty or non-compliant products.

- Support the production team with projects and ad hoc tasks as required.

Skills & Experience

- Proficient in overseeing all stages of production from planning and scheduling to execution and quality control.

- Experienced in implementing tech packs, product specifications and maintaining quality control measures and adherence to industry standards.

- Strong attention to detail and meticulous in ensuring precision in production processes and maintaining high quality standards.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively & meet deadlines.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.

- Proven ability to seamlessly work with diverse teams, fostering cooperation and driving collective success.
