Chef – Clogs Pizza Restaurant (Bendigo, VIC)
Key Responsibilities
• Food Preservation: Implement methods such as freezing or marinating to preserve ingredients and minimise waste while maintaining quality and freshness.
• Menu Planning & Innovation: Helping in planing diverse menus with a focus on Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, ensuring a balance between tradition and innovation. Estimate food and labour costs, manage stock efficiently, and adjust menus seasonally.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee food quality at every stage of preparation and service, maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
• Team Collaboration: Liaise with management, kitchen, and front-of-house teams to coordinate meal preparation and ensure a smooth service flow.
• Leadership & Training: Demonstrating correct techniques, portion control, and safe use of equipment. Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members.
• Health, Safety & Hygiene: Enforce and uphold food safety standards and hygiene regulations, ensuring compliance with all local health codes and promoting a culture of cleanliness and accountability.
• Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare, cook, and present high-quality meals, particularly signature pizzas and pastas, ensuring each dish meets Clogs’ standards of flavour, presentation, and consistency.
• Procurement & Stock Control: Monitor inventory levels, order food supplies, and liaise with trusted local suppliers to secure fresh, high-quality ingredients.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate customer feedback, identify menu improvement opportunities, and contribute ideas to elevate overall dining experience.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering consistent quality.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation per annum
Qualifications Required: AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant field
Experience: Minimum 1 year in a professional kitchen environment
