FCD Pty Ltd is looking for a Chef for our restaurant, Sincero Restaurant & Bar in Malvern.

We are looking for a qualified, motivated, experienced Chef to join our team of passionate

and dedicated kitchen staff. Experience and knowledge in cooking Italian cuisine is highly

desirable.

Position Description – Chef

Preparing and cooking food.

Ensuring quality of dishes cooked.

Monitoring food preparation & presentation to ensure quality & restaurant standards are met.

Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.

Assisting in training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff.

Assisting the Head Chef in planning menus and specials.

Assisting in planning menus for special functions.

Monitoring stocks of food and kitchen supplies.

Checking food deliveries for quality, correct temperature and quantities.

Freezing and preserving food.

Ensuring compliance with hygiene and OH&S regulations and procedures.

Ensuring safe food storage and preservation in accordance with Food Safety Plan.

Any other duties reasonably specified by management from time to time.

Must have minimum 2 years' experience as Chef in a busy kitchen.

Must be a team player who can abide by company policy and go the extra mile when

required.

The position is full-time.

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000

Salary negotiable for the right candidate and level of experience.
