The Access Group Recruitment are the go-to agency for our clients and payroll professionals looking for their next contract or permanent position.

My client is needing a National Payroll Operations Manager to manage their payroll, this roledrives the local people operations and service delivery.

This role will be based in Mascot, however hybrid working is available (2 days per week WFH, 3 days in office).

On a day to day basis, this role will involve:

- Identifying and driving initiatives that continuously aim to improve the experience and effectiveness of local people operations, using technology to simplify and accelerate efficiencies.

- Leading and developing a small team to ensure efficient and quality delivery of agreed services in the scope.

- Ensuring local people operations services are efficiently delivered. Such services can include e.g. time and attendance and payroll related preparations or collecting information, preparation and coordination of locally required documents.

- Responsible for the activities related to the processing of payroll to enable efficient and quality payroll service across the geography.

- Oversee payroll tax, PAYG, superannuation and audit lodgments in line with national and state-based legislation.

- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, industrial instruments and taxation requirements across Australia and New Zealand.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

- Extensive experience in leading and developing a payroll function

- Experience in coaching and developing talent and teams

- Experience in working across functional/business lines in a global matrix organization

- Driving performance, continuous improvement and change management experience

- Technical and digital capability

Salary: Circa $180k plus Super.
