Overview

Tell me about this role: We are currently looking for security cleared (NV1 or higher) Maritime Engineers to join our team on a permanent basis. These roles will be involved in Defence Maritime Landing Craft and Specialist Ships. We are looking for multi-skilled, flexible, hardworking people who are keen to grow their career within a leading Defence supplier.

What will I be doing day to day?

- Undertake requirements engineering to ensure system needs are accurately captured, traceable, and validated
- Lead or contribute to preliminary and detailed design phases of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), ensuring alignment with operational needs
- Provision of specialist system, technical and equipment knowledge of Maritime Systems
- Work with a wide range of stakeholders and build meaningful and lasting professional relationships
- Implement the system safety program, including hazard analysis, risk assessments, and safety case development
- Plan and execute Verification and Validation (V&V) activities as part of engineering change management, ensuring design integrity and compliance with requirements

What sort of skills do I need?

- Experience within a Defence maritime environment
- Degree qualifications in Engineering
- Systems Engineering experience
- Strong communication skills
- Process orientated with good attention to detail
- Hold a NV1 (must be an Australian citizen)
