Senior Business Analyst — 6 Month Daily Rate Contract | Sydney

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join a forward‑thinking organisation in Sydney, working on a transformative three‑year programme with an initial six‑month contract and strong potential for extension. You will lead analysis activities, guide other analysts, and act as a liaison between business and technology teams to drive large‑scale digital transformation, improve processes, and enhance customer experience. What you'll do

- Collaborate with claims business stakeholders and technology teams to analyse current processes and technology platforms, identifying improvements to streamline operations and elevate customer experiences.
- Gather, interpret, and present complex data sets to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision making at multiple levels of the organisation.
- Use appropriate analytical tools and techniques to deliver outputs that are concise, accurate, and easily understood by both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Assess backlogs effectively by making well‑reasoned recommendations and prioritising work to align with broader strategic roadmaps while managing risks and dependencies.
- Build strong relationships with product owners, developers, and subject matter experts to establish technical vision and evaluate opportunities or trade‑offs.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather information, align priorities, and ensure stakeholder engagement in shaping business needs.
- Mentor junior analysts within the team and contribute to quality assurance activities, including defect resolution and testing support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the squad and wider agile release train by sharing learnings and applying best practices.

What you bring

- A minimum of four years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst within the financial services sector, with exposure to large‑scale digital transformation initiatives.
- Proven ability in process and data analysis to identify gaps and optimise workflows and procedures.
- Experience supporting digital transformation projects, including new technology platforms or process redesigns.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate insights clearly across diverse groups.
- Experience working within an agile framework and adapting to changing priorities while maintaining focus on value delivery.
- Strong facilitation and elicitation skills to gather requirements and drive consensus.
- Tertiary degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with analytical tools and the ability to produce clear, concise, and accessible outputs.
- Ability to mentor others and contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing environment.
